Simon Hayward
Simon is Blackpool hospitals Specialist Practice Development Physiotherapist in Lung Ultrasound with over 6 years’ experience using Lung US in clinical practice. Simon has organised and run “Introduction to Lung Ultrasound” courses based on the Intensive Care Society (UK) Core Ultrasound Intensive Care (CUSIC) curriculum since 2016. He is a CUSIC lung supervisor and sits on the Intensive Care Societies CUSIC committee as the Physiotherapy representative. Most of Simon’s 13 years of clinical experience has been in the acute setting with a special interest in critical care and culminating in him being elected to a seat on the Intensive Care Society council in 2018. Simon is a published author on research into the use of lung ultrasound as a clinical tool for physiotherapists with additional ongoing projects in collaboration with clinicians and researchers around the world.
